Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the teenager age. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling prior to making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her triumph during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen utilized her formidable grappling skills to defeat McGill and then ended the fight with a third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound tactics which resulted in the TKO second-round victory. She remained dominant and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee, she fought Sijara-Eubanks in her debut fight. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
